Lisa Kerner Design…
Where design is only limited by your imagination.
Lisa has been a vagabond her entire life, never planting roots long enough to call any one place home. The only constant she has had in her life is art. Due to that lifestyle, a large part of Lisa’s work revolves around solitary moments in nature which she captures through fine art photography, or whimsical worlds that she creates through digital artistry.
"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see." ~Edgar Degas
Lisa has always been a storyteller, a story reader, and a story finder. Digital artistry is an extension of her preoccupation with stories, and words, and their relationship to art. She believes in art, or design, there is always a story to tell. So, Lisa takes reality and molds it into a different tale, one that shows the world what she wants it to know.
"Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others." ~Johnathon Swift
Color is how Lisa paints reality into the magical world that she lives in. Whether in black and white or chroma, she likes to take her images and push their tonal range just beyond the norm of reality. Lisa’s work is a celebration of the magic that we all lived as a child. It’s a world full of color and wonder intertwined with reality and truth. She creates these solitary moments in time through design, digital artistry, and fine art photography to show people that the imagination is the most powerful art tool if they are brave enough to invoke it.
Lisa is currently residing in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. While she is pursuing her passions of graphic design, digital artistry and fine art photography she is also working towards her B.S. in Graphic Design and Communications with a double-minor in Art and Photography. Upon completion, she intends to continue her education with a Masters of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
